To limit social contact at the beginning of the COVID crisis, we asked all those interested in renting our properties to submit an application form prior to viewing. We were then able to narrow down possible prospects before inviting them to view the property.
We are pleased to announce that, due to continued relaxation of restrictions, we are once again accepting appointments to view properties before applying.
The market has responded favourably, with hundreds of bookings made within days of initiating the change.
House-hunters will be aware of the extremely tight rental market conditions at the moment, with vacancy rates plummeting below 1% in many areas. This means that there are less properties available for rent, resulting in a high number of prospects wishing to view properties.
Although the spread of the virus is currently under control in Queensland, we need to remain vigilant and heed the government guidelines on social distancing. To this end, we are limiting the number of groups permitted to attend our viewings, based on ‘first in, first served’.
Note that we do not hold ‘Open Homes’ – all our viewings are by appointment only, and our online booking system makes this quick and easy. If the time does not suit, registering your details means that you will be automatically notified as soon as another viewing time is scheduled. However, due to the tight market it is likely that the property will be snapped up after the first viewing so it will be to your advantage to book your place as soon as possible.
For those who are unable to visit the property and happy to take it based on the photos and information online, you are welcome to submit an application, noting that you are willing to take it sight unseen. Alternatively, you can apply while you are waiting to view the property, to speed up the process.
