The vacancy rate throughout south-east Queensland continues at record lows, with our current office vacancy rate sitting below 0.2% since November last year.
While this is good news for investors, many tenants who would normally have no problem securing a property are faced with high competition for a limited supply of homes.
This is where a good relationship with your property manager can really make a difference, as many past tenants are coming back to us to help them find properties. Following are a few ‘Good News’ stories from this month that we hope will brighten your Easter weekend.
Katherine: Gaining Independence again
Katherine was a lovely young tenant of ours who had to move back with her parents after a car accident. After a year in rehabilitation, Katherine called us asking if we had any properties as she was ready to take back her independence. Because we knew what a great tenant Katherine was, we rushed her through a couple of our properties and she decided on a cute 2-bedroom duplex in Kallangur. The day she collected the keys from our office, she brought in bunches of flowers for our team members who assisted her. She is now settled in with her new boyfriend and back on track for a promising future.

Domestic Violence Survivor: Starting a new life
Justine (not her real name) was our tenant back in 2018. Recently Justine contacted us looking for a property as she was fleeing from her violent partner. We were able to place her in a lovely modern unit in Morayfield without hesitation, as she had been an excellent tenant. Tarra our leasing consultant will not forget the call she made to Justine to advise her of her approval – Justine cried with gratitude and relief. She is now safe and settled, and putting her life back together again.
There are many stories like these, and while we can’t assist everyone due to the shortage of rental properties, it’s good to know that we are making a difference in the lives of people who just need a little help to put their lives back on track.
