Some positive initiatives, but there’s a lot more to be done.
The QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has released the Outcomes Report from the recent Housing Summit.
Agency founder Laura Valenti attended the government’s October summit along with REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella as representatives of the private rental sector.
The report includes much needed immediate financial support before Christmas for struggling tenants to stay in their rental properties.

Laura agrees with the REIQ that whilst the report is encouraging, there is still a long way to go.
“Before attending the summit, I was slightly cynical if workable, practical solutions would emerge,” says Laura, “but this Outcomes Report contains some very good initiatives for both tenants and landlords.”
“But the critical thing now is for all stakeholders to continue to work together to solve our housing crisis.”
